Mindful Living – Resilience
witH Maura Koutoujian
Sunday, August 19 – 3:00 - 5:30
Maura Koutoujian, CHWC, Marta Granat, RYT,MSW and Katelyn Stephens, LCSW present a Mindful Living Workshop on Resilience.
Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress — such as family and relationship problems, serious health challenges or workplace and financial stressors. It means "springing back" from difficult experiences.
In this 2 hour workshop students will be lead through physical movement, meditation and facilitated discussion to examine our current defaults when dealing with adversity, learning how to examine those defaults through a compassionate lens, and develop a new set of skills that can be practiced at home to build resilience.
About our Mindful Living series
Our quarterly Mindful Living workshops are designed to help you raise consciousness through exploration of a variety of topics and practices that will transform the way you understand yourself and the world around you. Each workshop will open with a centering exercise followed by the introduction to the main topic, an exercise, and a facilitated discussion. The sessions will run 2-2.5 hours and are open to anyone. Below is a list of topics and themes for the series some of which will overlap.
