Swedish massage is a widely known and popular type of healing massage that can target pain from injury and tension caused by stress. This style involves mild, moderate and at times deeper strokes on the back, neck, shoulders, arms, and legs. Other techniques can be used such as kneading, tapping, friction, light shaking and cupping to easy back pain and allow the muscles to let go. Special attention is paid to areas with greater tension for maximum relief and relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage
30 MINUTES $55 •60 MINUTES $95 • 90 MINUTES $135
This is a massage technique that works on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Deep Tissue Massage uses slower and firmer strokes and pressure in targeted areas to help relax and refresh muscles and surrounding fascia by increasing blood and oxygen flow. The technique releases toxins from chronically sore muscles which promotes the healing that is needed in order to rebuild strength. Deep Tissue Massage is often used to treat people recovering from accidents and sports injuries since increasing blood flow to underused muscles helps break down scar tissue and “knots”. The treatment can also serve those who experience chronic muscle tension caused by stress.

Jessica provides a unique combination of yoga, bodywork, and Cranio Sacral Therapy. CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral system, which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Frequently asked questions:
+ "What should I expect from my first massage?"
We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment time so you can check in and complete a health history form. The intake health form will ask for relevant medical history including injuries or physical conditions that your massage therapist should be aware of before treating you.
Your massage therapist will greet you and show you to the tranquil, private treatment room where your session will take place. You will have the chance to go over your health form and anything else you would like to address with your massage therapist before your treatment. Your therapist will leave the room to allow you to disrobe and lay down on the table under the top sheet. You may prefer to completely disrobe or remain partially clothed. During your session, your therapist will only uncover the area of your body being worked on. Viva Prana offers a full service bathroom, equipped with a shower.
+ "How will I feel after my massage treatment?"
The post massage experience will vary from person to person. While some people feel relaxed, others feel an increase in energy. People commonly feel rejuvenated and a new sense of freedom from the aches and pains caused by tension and stress, poor posture, or repetitive activity. Your massage therapist will leave the room at the end of your treatment to allow you time to redress and he/she will greet you outside with some water. We do emphasize staying hydrated after your treatment to encourage the toxins that were released from the soft tissue during your massage to leave the body.
+ "What's your cancellation policy?"
All reservations are reserved with a credit card. If you need to cancel or change your appointment, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time so that we have the opportunity to book another appointment and/or provide the massage therapist with ample notice of schedule changes. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, you will be charged the full amount for the massage on the credit card provided.
