Awaken, enliven, and renew your body and soul with this 10-hour Bowspring weekend workshop with Desi Springer and John Friend.

This weekend event is designed to give students of any level - from beginners to yoga teachers and fitness instructors – an uplifting and transformational experience of the Bowspring method.

Friday night’s 2-hour class will be a fascinating and entertaining introduction to the method, which is appropriate for everyone, particularly new students.

Saturday and Sunday classes will progressively lead students from the most basic forms and movements of the Bowspring to a more intermediate/advanced practice on Sunday. Since the classes will build cumulatively, and there are no drop-ins on Sunday afternoon, we encourage a 2-day or full weekend commitment. In each class, students will learn powerful breath practices in basic dynamic postural forms and simple functional movements to optimize vitality, stress reduction, and a positive mindset.

Through the Bowspring practice students can expect to cultivate increased:

• Lightness, agility, springy power
• Self-awareness, sensory perception and mental focus
• Uniform muscle tone on all parts of the body
• Compassion, courage, and patience
• Inner strength to look honestly at unconscious mind-body habitual patterns

The Bowspring is a universal postural template for optimizing any movement or posture — yoga, athletics, and especially moving around in our daily life—for greater lightness, agility, ease, and power. This dynamic alignment method is also highly therapeutic for any musculo-skeletal issues including lower back problems, hip pain, knee or shoulder injuries. Most importantly, the Bowspring method integrates a mindfulness training with the cultivation of compassion and accountability to help each of us create our own individual destiny.
